Elastomeric Bearing

About Elastomeric Bearing

Elastomeric Bearings support vertical loads and accommodate limited horizontal movement and rotation due to thermal or seismic effects. Made of rubber and steel laminates, they ensure even load distribution and flexibility. Ideal for small to medium-span bridges and flyovers, these maintenance-free bearings comply with IRC standards and are tested for shear, compression, and long-term durability.

Elastomeric Bearing

Elastomeric Bearings are flexible support components used in bridge structures to accommodate vertical loads, limited horizontal movements and rotational movements due to thermal expansion, shrinkage and seismic effects. These bearings are made of alternating layers of synthetic rubber (elastomer) and steel laminates, which provide stability, flexibility and load distribution. They allow for multi-directional movement and rotation while ensuring even load transfer between superstructure and substructure. Elastomeric bearings are maintenance-free, cost-effective and highly durable under varying environmental conditions. They are ideal for small to medium-span bridges, flyovers and precast structures. Manufactured in compliance with IRC standards these bearings are tested for shear, compression, and durability.
